THE Practice

To properly help a client with their estate planning or tax matter, you need to look beyond the forms and get to know their situation. I take the time to fully understand my clients' circumstances before I roll up my sleeves and get to work. 

As both an Attorney and Certified Public Accountant, I help clients understand their estate planning needs from both a legal and tax perspective. 

I believe in providing tailored estate planning solutions that meet the unique needs of each client. The best part of my job is collaborating with clients to ensure we're putting together an estate plan that not only serves their current needs, but contemplates future ones. 

Prior to forming my own practice, I most recently served, Of Counsel, to the Law Office of David S. Howard. David is a former national partner at Deloitte, and provided invaluable mentorship to me while we worked together. I worked closely with individuals and small to medium-sized businesses on tax-related matters, including IRS audits and appeals, tax planning, and complex estate planning for high net worth individuals.

I began my legal career at a large international law firm in New York. After that I moved back to California with my wife and began practicing as a CPA and attorney in San Jose.

I went to undergrad at San Jose State University and received a BS in accounting. After graduation, I worked at Deloitte for a few years and earned my CPA license before setting my sights on law school. For law school, I moved out to the East Coast and attended the New York University School of Law. 

In addition to my Law Office, I am also a shareholder of the Alonzo & Verhaege Accountancy Corporation, an individual and small business tax preparation and consulting firm.

When I'm not working, I'm spending time with my wife and two children. When I'm not doing that, I'm probably out on a drive in a classic Porsche.
